ComCoach is a web-based simulation tool that helps pharmacy students practise patient communication in realistic pharmacy scenarios.
What is ComCoach?
ComCoach is a web-based training tool for pharmacy students at Uppsala University. Students converse with AI-powered virtual patients in simulated pharmacy scenarios and receive structured feedback on their communication skills.
The system is used for educational purposes to give students the opportunity to practise patient encounters in a safe and repeatable way, without risk of patient harm. Each virtual patient is designed with specific medical and communicative challenges that the student is expected to navigate.
Who is this service for?
ComCoach is intended for pharmacy students and teaching staff at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Uppsala University. Login is provided through Uppsala University's identity service (Shibboleth/SAML).
Access is granted only to individuals with an active affiliation with Uppsala University.

When you log in via the university identity service, ComCoach receives the following attributes:
These details are used solely to identify the logged-in user within the service. No personal data is sold, shared with third parties, or used for marketing. Data is not retained longer than necessary for the service's stated purpose.
