Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is a state of the art biomedical imaging technique used all over the world for diagnosis of disease, by taking images of the body by a scanner, after administration of a radiolabeled contrast agent.
This project involves analysis and interpretation of PET images from ongoing clinical studies which evaluates a new radiopharmaceutical binding to Neutrophil Elastase - an enzyme involved in tissue remodeling, which is released by the immune system in inflammatory foci.
The Translational PET Imaging research group develops radiopharmaceuticals to improve diagnosis and assist drug development. As part of the research group you will work alongside highly trained doctoral students, postdocs and researchers.
