Pharmacometric model development can be lengthy and resources-intensive process, which requires a high professional expertise. To reduce the amount of time needed to develop a model for each investigational product and minimize the resources needed, an automated model development approach could be used. There are several attempts trying to automate population pharmacokinetic model development, while less focus is put on the pharmacodynamic model development.
The aim of this project is to automate pharmacodynamic model development from data graphical exploration to the establishment of the final model followed by an automatically generated report.
During the project, the student will firstly perform literature research to support the automation of the pharmacodynamic model building. The work will be carried using NONMEM and R, thus the previous knowledge and experience in modelling software is desirable, but not necessary. Knowledge of other programming languages is a huge benefit but not necessary.
