Description
You may be familiar with the concept of intellectual property rights of academic staff, recognising that you own the rights to the results of your research, even as a doctoral student. Perhaps, you are aware that this provides you with the opportunity to extend the use of your results beyond the purely academic context.
But how does it work? What is the first step, and how do I even determine if my research could be something useful for others? Can or should I control how my results are used?
These are questions we will address during the course 'Strategic management of research results.' Across three seminars, we will delve into the fundamentals of identifying, controlling, and packaging knowledge assets generated in research. The aim is to strengthen your foundation for ongoing research while learning to effectively contribute to the application of your results, creating value for a broader audience.
Each seminar includes a practical segment where you can directly apply your newly acquired knowledge, gaining fresh perspectives on your own research and how you could create value from the results in society.
