Medfarm Play

The second part of this lecture (see http://media.medfarm.uu.se/play/video/7715 for the first part) more practically illustrates how one can access the information on the UCDP conflict encyclopedia from the website http://ucdp.uu.se/. It is specifically designed for students who are writing a conflict analysis paper at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, to more hands-on guide them through the encyclopedia in order to find the most relevant information. For that purpose, the focus of the lecture is mainly on state based conflicts. However, it can be used for anyone who may have an interest in being guided through the database, also for other types of organized violence, and who may have an interest in doing a conflict analysis about a specific conflict.
